Step 1: Open Command Prompt as Admin. (Win + S for search and type cmd > right-click > open cmd as admin)

Step 2: Enter these commands one by one and press Enter.

diskpart

list disk

select disk # (# is the number of the hard drive. i.e – select disk 1)

attributes disk clear readonly

Reboot PC and then check again.

7. Clear Download Cache

Clearing the download cache will reset configuration data and steam will download it again.

To do this, go to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.

Restart Steam and start the installation again.
