Export Chrome Passwords in Windows 10

Google chrome is one of the trusted and popular web browser available for Windows, Mac, and Android platforms. The majority of users are using Google Chrome as their default web browser and save their passwords for auto-login. Now if you want to export Passwords in Chrome, then follow the below steps carefully.

Step 1: If you are using the latest version of Google Chrome then you can directly copy-paste the following in search bar and hit enter

Step 2: In the Chrome flags window, search for “password import and export” by using Ctrl+f keys. Now, From the drop-down menu, select Enabled to turn the flag on.

Step 3: After selecting Enabled option, you can find the below notification then click Relaunch now Button.

Step 4: Now enter chrome://settings-frame/passwords in the search bar and hit enter, then you will find the below window. Click Export to backup your chrome passwords.

Step 5: After clicking on export, window pop-ups and asks you to enter your system password. So enter your system password and click OK.

Step 6: After that, you can save your passwords in a CSV file.

Export Chrome Passwords in Windows 7 & 8 (Without Third-Party Tools)

To export the chrome passwords in Windows 7 or in Windows 8. To do enter the following Instructions.

Step 1: Enter the below path in the google search bar.

  • chrome://flags/#password-import-export

Step 2: In the Chrome flags window, search for “password import and export” by using Ctrl+f keys. Now, From the drop-down menu, select Enabled to turn the flag on.

Step 3: After selecting an Enabled option, you can find the below notification then click Relaunch now Button.

Step 4: Now enter chrome://settings in the search bar and hit enter, then scroll down to find Manage Passwords and click this option.

Step 5: Click on Manage passwords to administer your saved passwords. (Tip: if you can’t find export and import options just go to step 1 and enable password import and export option again and open settings and find manage passwords)

Step 6: Now you can find Export and Import buttons at the end of the list.

Step 7: Click Export to download all your passwords. It will ask to enter your system password in order to download all chrome passwords.

Step 8: After that, you can save your passwords in a CSV file.

Export Chrome Passwords in windows (With Third-Party Tools)

If you’re searching for a way to backup or export your saved passwords from Google Chrome browser, you will find another way apart from the above-mentioned solution that is by using third-party tools.

Step 1: Download the ChromePass tool from the link. (ChromePass is a free password recovery tool for Google Chrome. This tool allows you to export these passwords in XML Or HTML file format.)

Step 2: After downloading the tool extract the zip file and run this Chromepass tool to find all the saved passwords from google chrome.

Step 3: Now select the entire password list and click File option and select Save selected items.

Step 4: Now it will ask you to choose the data to save in a file format (that is either XML or HTML format).

Step 5: That’s all! all your chrome passwords are exported.

Tip: Avoid registering for your Google account on Untrusted computers. Because if you have turned on Auto Sync feature, then your all data will be saved on that computer too.
